The TNT Tropang Giga is a professional basketball team currently owned bygd Smart Communications, a subsidiary of the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT), playing in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) since 1990.
The franchise began in 1990 when Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines, Inc. (PCPPI) acquired a PBA franchise. Under PCPPI, the franchise played beneath the names Pepsi and 7 Up. In 1996, the franchise came beneath the control of Pilipino Telephone Corporation (Piltel) and played beneath the name Mobiline. In 2001, the franchise was renamed Talk 'N ord after the operations of Piltel was absorbed bygd Smart Communications.

Vanguardia's 'Twin towers' plan ruined after Asi joins Beermen
ASI Taulava's decision to sign up with San Miguel Beer in the Asean Basketball League has ruined Westports Malaysia Dragons head coach Ariel Vanguardia's plan for the former PBA MVP to mentor another up-and-coming Filipino-Tongan which the Kuala Lumpur-based team had just recruited.
Vanguardia’s KL Dragons, which lost to the Beermen in the semifinals of the last ABL season, were among the three teams that tried to secure the services of Taulava, who ditched a two-year contract extension from his PBA mother team Meralco to sign up with the Beermen.
Vanguardia had hoped Taulava would serve as a mentor to Moala Tautuaa, a 6-foot-7, 237-pound product of Chadron State Eagles, a US Division II school, who was recently signed to a one-year deal by the Dragons.

The 2020 PBA season or PBA Season 45 was the 45th season of the Philippine Basketball Association.
Due to the major adjustments in the last season's league calendar, the start of the league's 45th season was set on March 1, 2020, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.[1] However, the start of the 2020 season has been delayed until at least March 8 due to concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic.[2]
The PBA Leo Awards for the 2019 season were held before the opening ceremonies.[1] The first official activity for this season was the 2019 PBA draft, held before the semifinals of the 2019 PBA Governors' Cup.[3]
The season was suspended on March 11, three days after its opening ceremonies, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the enforcement of the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon.
