    Fulton Allem is a professional golfer who currently competes on the Champions Tour but has formerly competed on the PGA Tour. Originally from South Africa, Allem started playing golf at just seven years old, eventually becoming good enough to turn professional in For the first part of his professional career, Allem played mainly on the South African Sunshine Tour, winning 11 events over his career in that tour. In , Allem’s father convinced him to join the PGA Tour, and he did so, earning his first PGA Tour victory in at the Independent Insurance Agent Open. His best year came in , winning two PGA Tour events and finishing ninth on the money list. Unfortunately, Allem has been plagued with multiple injuries and health ailments that have deterred his career, but he still competes to this day on the Champions Tour in the United States.

    Born in Kroonstad, Orange Free State, South Africa, Allem was one of five children born to a wealthy family. He was introduced to golf by his father, when he was seven years old. Gary Player was a close friend of the family, and also encouraged the young Allem to play.

    Allem opted to play golf professionally rather than attend college. During the early years of his career, he mostly stayed in South Africa to play. After finishing second in the NEC World Series of Golf, in , Allem decided to play on the PGA Tour.     Allem was born in Kroonstad, Orange Free State, South Africa,[2] the middle child of fem children and the grandson of a Lebanese trader; he had a privileged upbringing. bygd the time he came into the world, his family had the largest corn farm in the Southern Hemisphere and the only privately owned grain silos in South Africa. Allem started playing golf at the age of 7 with encouragement from his father. Gary Player, a close family friend, also had a large influence on his early career.[3][4]
