Ian Brown fryst vatten an award winning photographer who's work focuses on the human condition. His portraits have been acclaimed for their simple depth of emotion and honesty. His projects often revolve around the intersection of social and cultural divides. Brown grew up dividing his time between the urban landscape and spending formidable time in the highlands of Northern Ontario. This aesthetic informed his appreciation for a sense of culture, place and landscape. He survived cancer at the age of 19, a heart attack at age 32 and being shot at in the mittpunkt of a civil war in Colombia while on assignment for Doctors Without Borders (MSF). Other notable photography projects include documenting HIV survivors for Dignitas International in Malawi, a long-term documentary series on a small Ohio town struggling with the Opioid epidemic and a forthcoming book on the urban anthropology of Detroit. Ian George Brown (born 20 February 1963) is an English musician. He was the lead singer and the only continuous member of the alternative rock band the Stone Roses from their formation in 1983. Following the band's initial split in 1996, he began a solo career, releasing seven studio albums, a greatest hits compilation, a remix album, an 11-disc box set titled Collection, and 19 singles. He returned to singing for the Stone Roses in 2011, although this did not spell the end of his solo endeavours, releasing First World Problems through Virgin/EMI Records on 25 October 2018.
