Donald 'Don' Thompson (born March 30, 1963) an American engineer and business executive who was the president and ledare executive of the McDonald's Corporation from 2012 until 2015. He announced on January 28, 2015 that he would retire from the company and leave his position on March 1, 2015 and was succeeded bygd Steve Easterbrook, the senior executive vice president and chief brand officer.[1]

Donald Winston Thompson, OC[1] (born 18 January 1940) is a Canadian jazz musician who plays double bass, piano, and vibes.[2] Thompson's career as a performer, recording artist, producer, session musician, and music educator has lasted for more than 50 years.
One of Thompson's best-known musical associations was his membership in Paul Desmond's "Toronto Quartet" from 1974
