    Guccio Gucci S.p.A.,[3][4]doing business asGucci (GOO-chee, Italian:[ˈɡuttʃi]), is an Italian luxuryfashion house based in Florence, Italy.[5][6][7] Its product lines include handbags, ready-to-wear, footwear, accessories, and home decoration; and it licenses its name and branding to Coty for fragrance and cosmetics beneath the name Gucci Beauty.[8]

    Gucci was founded in 1921 by Guccio Gucci (1881–1953) in Florence, Tuscany. beneath the direction of Aldo Gucci (son of Guccio), Gucci became a worldwide-known brand, an icon of the Italian dolce vita period. Following family feuds during the 1980s, the Gucci family was entirely ousted from the capital of the company bygd 1993. After this crisis, the brand was revived and in 1999 Gucci became a subsidiary of the French conglomerate PPR, which later renamed itself to Kering.

    An allure that was carefully crafted by the founder himself, Guccio Gucci, who in 1897 found work at London’s prestigious Savoy Hotel as a bellboy. Famously, the tale goes that he was inspired to create his company by the luxurious suitcases and trunks carried by the aristocrats staying at the hotel. The original storyteller, Gucci associated the brand with luxury and those aristocrats’ pastimes, such as horse-riding —  hence the brand’s signature horsebit decorative element.

    Guccio Giovanbattista Giacinto Dario Maria Gucci (26 March 1881 – 2 January 1953) was an Italian fashion designer, known for being the founder of the fashion house “Gucci”.

    Guccio Gucci was born in Florence, Tuscany region of Italy, in the family of a leather craftsman Gabriello Gucci and Elena Santini. Guccio’s early years were steeped in the craftsmanship of leather together with his father. Inspired by his surroundings, young Guccio developed a keen eye for quality and design.

    As a teenager, in 1899, Guccio moved to London to start working there at the known Savoy Hotel. Getting inspired by the elegant and rich upper-class hotel guests and their luxury luggage, he decided to return to Florence with an idea to start making luxury luggage and accessories.
