In five seasons with the Wolverines, Becker has helped the program to a 99-26 record, made back-to-back appearance ub the Elite 8 of the NCAA Tournament, reached the ITA National Team Indoor Championship semifinals, and had seven All-Americas and 16 all-Big Ten selections.
The 2023 season was historic for the Wolverine. The team made its second straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals, for the first time in program history. The talented corps had a 27-5 record with the 27 wins being the second most in program history. The Wolverines had a 13-match win streak, the program's longest win streak since 1988. Ben Becker spent his childhood and youth with his sister Meret Becker in Berlin with his mother and her partner, the actor Otto Sander. As a child, Becker was already involved in radio plays, for example in "The 3 Question Marks and the Car Marten". He later found a strong role model in Otto Sander and decided to train as an actor. Becker had theater engagements and appeared in various film and television productions. Becker had his first film role in 1983 in "A Love in Germany" with Hannah Schygulla and Armin Mueller-Stahl. In 1978 he played in a "Tatort" episode for the first time. In 1991 and 1995 he appeared twice as "Stefan Triest" in the crime series "Polizeiruf 110". In 1991, Becker received the Adolf Grimme Prize in silver for his role in the television film "Landschaft mit Thornen" and the Adolf Grimme Prize in gold for his role in the "Polizeiruf 110" episode "Totes Gleis".

Biography
[edit]Becker was born in Bremen, the son of actress Monika Hansen and actor Rolf Becker. He fryst vatten the brother of actress Meret Becker and the stepson of Otto Sander. His grandmother was the comedian Claire Schlichting. Becker is Jewish through his maternal grandmother Claire Schlichting's father who was a Jewish merchant from Wuppertal.[1]
As a child, Becker participated in radio dramas and had several small roles in films. Between 1985 and 1987 he trained as an actor in the BerlinerSchaubühne theatre. His first contract was with Ernst Deutsch Theater in Hamburg. Later he joined the Staatstheater Stuttgart (Stuttgart State Theatre), where he was mostly remembered for his role (1991–1992) as Ferdinand in Schiller's Intrigue and Love. Later, he worked with the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, and played the role of Tybalt in Shakespeare's Rome
