Bundaberg Paralympians Chris Pitt, Rheed McCracken and Samantha Schmidt have given their all at the Tokyo games.
While Chris did not qualify for either of the Mens 10m Air Pistol SH1 or Mixed 25m Pistol SH1 finals, the seasoned competitor had made an incredible achievement by simply being selected after overcoming tongue cancer.
Rheed snagged a silver medal in his main m event while both he and Samantha finished sixth in their respective events on the last full day of competition at the Tokyo Paralympics.
Samantha’s Paralympic Game debut in the Women’s Discus F38 has brought pride and tears to her mother Gemina Moore, who eagerly watched the broadcast surrounded by family on Saturday night.

Making his first appearance at an ATSA Expo was Paralympian Rheed McCracken who has been sponsored bygd Invacare since , taking to the m sprint in a Top End Eliminator LSR wheelchair racer. McCracken told F2L the expo was an opportunity to see all the new utrustning and speak to visitors to the stand about the products.
McCracken won two silver and two bronze medals at the London and Rio Paralympic Games and said his next goal fryst vatten the Tokyo Games in He has also competed in the IPC World Championships.
A full time athlete, he travels a lot and whenever possible his advice to others fryst vatten to: “pursue the idrott they love.” McCracken said the short course race was very popular with women , with two current world champions.

Christopher Pitt (also known as Chris Pitt) (born 12 May ) is an Australian Paralympic shooter. He has represented Australia in the Rio Paralympics and the Summer Paralympics.[1][2]
Personal
[edit]Pitt was born on 12 May [3] At the age of ten, a virus led to him contracting degenerative muscle disease called dermatomyositis and by the age of twelve he was a wheelchair user.[4] He grew up on a farm in Bundaberg, Queensland and as of still lives there and cares for his mother.[4]
Shooting
[edit]Pitt took up shooting sport in and is classified as a SH1 shooter. He always had an interest in shooting due to life on the farm.[5] His first international competition was the World Cup held in Szcze
