Jairus 's love of music started from a very ung age. It was his love for dancing that finally catapulted him into the entertainment industry. During his school days, he would participate in Pantsula dance competitions which he regularly won. He also danced at stokvels, weddings and social gatherings to earn han själv some pocket money. His parents always reminded him of the importance and benefits of education. He therefore partook in entertainment activities on a part-time basis wishing not to disappoint his parents. Like all other parents, they just wanted the best for their child.
After matric, Jairus worked as a technician for Canon and Panasonic. The flow of entertainment still ran in his veins. He continued with dancing and music part-time after work. After work, he would go to the studio in Mooi Stre

Mandla Daniel Mofokeng (born 11 September 1967) is a kwaito musician, singer and producer known as "Spikiri" from Meadowlands, Soweto and a member of the Kwaito group Trompies
He started his career as a dancer in 1985, under the tutelage of South African musician Sello "Chicco" Twala. He later formed a disco group called MM De Luxe with friend M'du Masilela in 1988. This duo recorded two successful albums in 1989 and 1990 and introduced what came to be known as township kwaito today. His passion for music led Mandla to enroll at Fuba Music School in 1991 to study engineering and piano. In the 1990s he was producing music for the likes of Chimora, Kamazu, Senyaka and Fatty Boom Boom better known as Tsekeleke.

Trompies
South African kwaito music group
Trompies is a South African music group formed in 1995 who specialise in kwaito music. The members Spikiri, Mahoota, Donald Duck, Jakarumba & Mjokes grew up together in the Sowetotownship and agreed to form a band after they had all completed their music studies in college.[2] Beginning to make music in the mid-1990s, they released their debut album Sigiya Ngengoma in 1995. Trompies have since sold over half a million records and have become very successful in producing and managing other artists as well through their record label Kalawa Jazmee.
History
[edit]On 1 January 2014, their 10th studio album Delicious was released. At the 21st ceremony of South African Music Awards was nominated for Best Kwaito Album.[3] At the 2021 Music Kwaito and House Music Awards they received 4 nominations includes: Best Kwaito/Gqom Group, Best Kwaito Single, Best Kwaito Song and Best Collaboration.[4]
