A while back, I got into an argument about Taylor Swift. I don’t quite remember exactly when, but it was some nebulous point after Kim Kardashian released the footage of Taylor's phone call with Kanye and I stopped caring. The friend, a fan of Swift’s, asked me what I thought, and my response was something along the lines of, “As someone who doesn’t find celebrity drama interesting for the most part, I hate how the narrative in her songs forces me to think about it all the time, and I resent that, and I can’t help but feel a little glad that the tide is turning against her. Also, I hate ‘Shake it Off’ and ‘Bad Blood.’”

Legendary Danish production outfit returns!
The Danish production trio The Prunes made a short but indelible run on the international beat and trip hop-scenes in the mid-late nineties. Their dark, brooding sound, reeking of aerosol and dusty record basements, made its way onto releases on Mo’ Wax as well as remixes for the Beastie Boys, DJ Krush and DJ Vadim - classic material championed by the likes of DJ Shadow, Kid Loco and Gaslamp Killer.
While a full-length skiva never materialised, The Prunes released two highly sought-after EPs - Tracks From the Darkside Vol. 1 & 2 - in Now, ish years later, they’re opening the vaults with the release of Tracks From the Darkside Volume 3, out on Rekords Records and Lizard Shakedown. The LP features tracks made from , which have been carefully selected, edited and mixed by current DK Beat scene luminary Shatter Hands and mastered by Saqib Hassan.
